World Pangolin Day is on Saturday, February 20. This annual celebration brings together a global community dedicated to saving the pangolin, which has the unfortunate distinction of being the most trafficked mammal in the world. WCN and Save Pangolins launched the Pangolin Crisis Fund in 2019 to help eliminate the demand, trafficking, and poaching crisis for all eight pangolin species. It’s a tremendous task, one that we think deserves more than just a single day to honor.
This year, we are asking pangolin supporters around the world to #RollWithUs for Eight Days of Pangolins. Beginning on Saturday, February 13, we’re stretching World Pangolin Day into an eight-day celebration in honor of the eight species of pangolins across Africa and Asia, culminating in the actual World Pangolin Day on February 20. Each day will highlight a simple way that you can help save pangolins from extinction.
To kick off this year’s campaign, we have a special clip from Jon Favreau, director of The Lion King and Iron Man, who voices his support for pangolins and the Pangolin Crisis Fund.
Help us save pangolins by donating to the conservationists that protect them, sharing this post on social media, and using #RollWithUs to raise awareness about the plight of this amazing and unique animal. And be sure to follow us on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram to make sure you don’t miss out our eight day celebration.
Each of us has the ability to be a conservationist and the power to make a huge impact for pangolins!
