The discussions at CoP19 are critical for the conservation of endangered species around the world and result in decisions and recommendations that aim to prevent endangered species from overexploitation. Expertise and perspective from conservationists has historically provided expert data and information to assist Parties with their deliberations. This grant from the Pangolin Crisis Fund provided support to Charles Emogor, a Nigerian PhD candidate at the University of Cambridge specializing in pangolin research, to attend the 19th Conference of the Parties (CoP19) and the 75th and 76th Standing Committee meetings of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Fauna and Flora (CITES), due to be held in Panama city from 14th – 25th November 2022.
