Improving Pangolin Conservation in Cameroon

Grantee Noé
Type Reducing Demand
Grant Amount $37,900
Duration 2 years

Cameroon is home to three species of pangolins: black-bellied, giant, and white-bellied. Unfortunately, the project area continues to experience increasing threats, like bushmeat hunting, illegal logging, and poor livestock farming. As a result, the PCF funded Noé, working in partnership with Cameroonian not-for-profit ABOYERD, to improve scientific knowledge of the ecology and threats to pangolins, enhance pangolin conservation through community engagement, and work to reduce bushmeat poaching and scale trafficking.
