The Goldman Environmental Prize is awarded every year to six individuals for their major contributions to global environmental challenges. Thai Van Nguyen, a life-long pangolin conservationist and founder of Save Vietnam’s Wildlife, is one of this year’s Goldman Environmental Prize recipients. Thai has been a guest speaker at WCN’s Wildlife Conservation Expo in the past and his team has dismantled thousands of poaching traps and been involved in the arrest of hundreds of people in the illegal wildlife trade. The Pangolin Crisis Fund applauds Thai Van Nguyen for this honor and is grateful for the years of hard work he has dedicated to saving this highly threatened species.
