This project by the Environmental Investigation Agency (EIA) will target networks running the global trade in pangolins; the leading cause of pangolin population decline. The project will research and investigate such groups, sharing reports publicly and using the analysis to create pressure on source countries and demand markets that support this international illegal trade. EIA will also undertake efforts to tackle China’s demand for pangolins and their scales, including highlighting the role that some companies involved in the international Traditional Chinese Medicine industry.
